At Munford Methodist Nursery School, we start early to educate the children in values, discipline, letters, colors, shapes and numbers. Our goal is to have the pre-school aged child prepared for entering Kindergarten. In addition, the children learn how the teachings of Jesus affect their lives and carries over into their friendships and relationships at home.
We have activity stations placed around the rooms, such as a water table for drippy, gooey fun inside or out, a painting station and a well-stocked library. Outdoor recreation is also a priority.
The main grounds has a large outdoor fenced in play area surrounded by grass and trees. We like to make use of our grassy areas for family picnics in the spring, too.
Children are told age-appropriate stories from the Bible, and the older children sometimes memorize Scripture. Grace is said before meals, and we conduct a morning prayer with all the children.
